Senior Healthcare Data Integrations Analyst

$100K to $150K + equity + benefits | Remote | Full-time | 4+ years' experience

Mission

We are a Seed stage health-tech company using A.I. to improve hospitals’ clinical coding, leading to additional revenue and better measures of care quality. This initial wedge sets us up to become the de facto clinical and financial data layer for healthcare entities, enabling a wide range of future product opportunities.

Company

We’re a small but mighty team built with highly technical and clinical cofounders (e.g. physicians with engineering backgrounds, ex-Facebook, ex-Google) who scaled to >$1M in contracted revenue before raising. We’ve since been backed by top investors including Floodgate (Lyft, Twitch, Twitter) and Bessemer. Our product is live and well received at multiple large and well known health systems. We also have >3 years’ runway.

Role

We’re looking for a Senior Healthcare Data Integrations Analyst, who will be chiefly responsible for coordinating the set up Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and coding/claims data pipelines from our customers to SmarterDx. The role will ensure that SmarterDx gets the right data at the right time. You will work directly with hospital IT leaders and analysts to write and schedule data extracts, do quality reviews on the data generated by those extracts and coordinate with the engineering team to build our production data pipelines. You will also help shape our core culture and grow the team.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop repeatable, scalable processes to ensure that the right data gets to SmarterDx at the right time so that we can provide accurate and timely recommendations to our clients.
  • Work with health system IT leaders and analysts to coordinate extract writing.
  • Coordinate between engineering and client IT to establish any required direct connections (VPN, HL7, SSO, etc)
  • Deeply understand SmarterDx’s data requirements so that you can interpret the impact non-standard data will have on our systems and processes. You will be challenged to both get the right data and be maximally flexible for our health system clients.
  • Troubleshoot issues that emerge with existing integrations
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
  • Building and enhancing SmarterDx’s relationships with our customers’ technical teams

Your qualities

  • 4+ years' experience as a healthcare data analyst working with clinical and claims data, ideally in a health system setting (or, if your y-intercept is lower, evidence that your slope is super steep)
  • Excellent communicator. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams.
  • Ownership mindset. Build and own client go-lives from start to finish.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. Previous experience as an early joiner in a technology startup or evidence that you are scrappy. Deal well with ambiguity and understand that there is sometimes a need to hack a feature together.
  • Flexibility. SmarterDx recognizes that our clients have extremely limited IT resources, so we strive to make integration as easy as possible for them, even if it requires more work for the SmarterDx team.
  • Product focus. How can we maximize the value we deliver to our customers?

Compensation and benefits

  • $100K to $150K + equity + benefits
  • 401k
  • Remote first
  • Minimal bullshit
  • Incredible team. Important mission.
